• God

The Bible reveals the one true God to exist in distinctive roles as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is the creator of all, and He reigns over all. God loves and has provided salvation for His creation.

  • Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Son of God and therefore equally God. He gave His life to pay for our sin. After three days Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death and offering life to all. Salvation is through Jesus Christ, alone.

  • Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit of God is the divine presence that dwelt in the Tabernacle and Temple in Ancient times. Today the Holy Spirit indwells individual Christians when they surrender their lives to Christ in Baptism. The Holy Spirit equips the church with Spiritual Gifts and is the Christian's seal of salvation - guaranteeing our righteous status with God.

  • The Bible

The Bible is God's Word and contains everything we need for living godly lives. The Bible is authoritative over church doctrine and is the basis for all we do at the Upstate congregation.

  • The CHurch

The Church is the body and bride of Christ. Established on the day of Pentecost almost 2,000 years ago, the Church is the made up of all baptized believers around the world. It is the job of the Church to share the good news of Jesus Christ, make disciples of all nations, and be the physical presence of Christ in the world.

  • Baptism

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is clearly stated in 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 6:3-5 tells us that all those who have hope of eternal resurrection have first been baptized into Christ death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism is the essential first act all off who wish to come to Christ and is necessary in order to have forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
